The annual Northern Norwich District Scout Master at Arms competition took place recently at 1st Taverham Scout HQ with a record number of teams taking part in the two disciplines.
As in 2014 the archery competition was very close with only one point between the top two teams. The individual competition saw the top 8 scouts separated by only 5 points with the top two scouts both scoring 72 points and the winner being decided on a countback.
The shooting was not quite such a close contest with the 44th Norwich being the clear winners scoring 33 points ahead of the second team.
An opportunity to take part in the County Shooting and Archery competitions lie ahead for the top scouts in both competitions with the County Archery Competition taking place on the 13th June and the County Shooting Competition on the 26th September.
As ever this event would not be possible without the invaluable knowledge and support of the qualified Instructors who support the delivery of the two skills and the admin team who scored the shooting and pulled together all the scores.
The district extends thanks to the whole team for giving up their time to enable the scouts to have a great day and would like to say a huge congratulations to all of those who took part in the competition.
