Cubs On Water Sunday

On Sunday 16th July 2017, 83 cubs from 8 different Cub Packs in Northern Norwich District came together at the 16th Norwich Scout HQ for Cubs On Water Sunday (COWS).

The Cubs were mixed into different activity groups. They got the opportunity to go on the water in either a kayak or open canoe and to take part in various “water” activities. These included an obstacle course with grass skis and water balloons and another with wellies and space hoppers. Wet sponges were tossed and the Cubs took part in races with guttering and cups. You had to be very careful when walking down the field too, as there were water rockets “flying through the air”. During the day, the rain arrived which helped everyone to get even wetter!

At the end of the day, the Cubs gathered together for the investiture of Summer Smith into the 1st Taverham Scout Group.
