The Northern Norwich Explorers all enjoyed their second camp of the year at 2nd Hellesdon Scout HQ over the weekend of 20th to 22nd April.
The Explorers arrived on the Friday evening, setting up before it got dark, and then relaxed with a mixture of games for entertainment.
The following day they were up nice and early. As the birds were singing and the sun was shining, the Explorers went on a treasure hunt around the local vicinity, buying a little treat for their leaders on the way just in time for lunch! In the afternoon they split into groups with one group shooting and the rest pioneering, where they constructed a massive seesaw and rope bridge. This took the majority of the afternoon up before they sat down and for a lovely chorizo pasta meal, which went down a treat (they are explorers, after all!). In the evening they had free time before retiring to their tents.
Sunday, after packing away, they again split into two groups. One group practiced axe throwing while the others played disc rugby outside making the most of the glorious weather.
