Volunteering in Northern Norwich District

It seemed so very fitting that at the end of Volunteer Week in Scouting that Northern Norwich Scouts enjoyed their annual, always eagerly awaited and activity packed, weekend camp at Decoy Broad.

I felt extremely humbled on Sunday afternoon when at flag down, I looked not only around the square at the Troops assembled – around 180 young people all smiling, looking a little tired to be honest, but with so many fantastic experiences over the weekend giving memories which will stay a lifetime – but with admiration for the 60 adult volunteers who enabled those young people to develop those skills for life and create those special memories.

A band of very special people, I am privileged to call friends in scouting, who form a formidable team.
