St George Promise 2020

It seems appropriate to share images from the week in which so many of you remade your Scouting Promise.

Especially today, as Sunday 26th April was to be our District FunDay when we would come together and celebrate what Scouting means to us and how it shapes the lives of our young people and adult members.

We all look forward, I know, to a day when we can truly Scout together again, in the meantime we enjoy and revel in the innovation which enables Scouting to happen and still be part of our daily lives.

Remembrance 2018

At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great Way, Scout Groups around the district met at local churches for a Remembrance Service. Many had specially made poppies to mark the centenary of the Armistice and to remember those who laid down their lives.

Cubs go Scuba Diving

3rd & 4th Cub Scouts had a great two hour scuba diving session at Christal Seas in Norwich recently. The night comprised of a safety briefing, learning about the equipment, breathing underwater and having fun whilst at a depth of 3 metres. The young people got to play underwater games and learnt to swim through hoops whilst wearing oxygen tanks, fins and a mask.

A great night was had by all.

Vicious Vikings 2018

21 Scours and 3 leaders enjoyed the annual Vicious Vikings day on October 13th. The activities comprised of five bases: Fire Lighting; Axe and Saw; Cooking Twists; Shelter Building; Cooking Toad in the Hole and Camp Doughnuts.
